Re: The definition of a HACK

Definition of a hack : Someone trying to make ends meet and survive in the cable buisness. With prices plummeting and workload quadrupiling its not as easy as it used to be. By no means would I wirenut a RG59 to a RG11 or use a 59 on a 60, but I would use a quad conn if I had to. Ive had MSO plant manager telling us to reuse the strand that was ripped down after a storm. How good is eight straight splices in a 150 foot span? Phoenix Az., they have thousands of miles of direct bury, and pot hole it. Anything to save a money or time, time is money.
