I really dont have a horse in this race. But I must say this debate is very "interesting"
The earth is about 75% water and 25% land. The United States makes up about 6% of the earths land. The areas in the country that are now having unusual weather make up about 2% of the earths land, and thats being generous.
So, the people pointing to this cold snap and arguing that Global Warming (keyword global) is not real, because 2% of the earth had unusually cold weather for about 2 weeks, seems to be a bit of a stretch. And Im not even sure if the temperatures were really all that low. If I recall correctly, the problem was just a few storms that were rain storms in the south and west. When the same storms hit certain colder areas in the north and east, the rain turned into snow. IMO, these storms make a very poor argument against global warming.
