Re: Dish Cutting Retailers Install Rate

If you get, let's say....$80 for 1 room and then $20 for each other room and now they are saying it's just $80 for 1 receiver and $20 for each receiver, then that's bull.  If they need to cut you down to $75/$15, that's one thing, but you can't be responsible for wiring that 2nd room, programming the tv and remote for that customer paying for that 2nd room if you're not compensated.  When Dish went to the dual tuners 4 years or so ago they did have a pay cut on the install.  4 receivers used to pay more as a 4 room install than a 2 receiver, 4 room install.  But there is plenty of profit in that retail activation for the dealer to compensate his installer for each room that customer wants hot.  He may have to lose a lil more if Dish has truly cut more off of the install.  I can't see why Dish would do that.  When the pay cut hit 4 years ago, I went from $100/$25 down to $100/$20.  Make sure you work with a dealer that genuinely cares about your commitment to install his customers.
