Not true. The tax cut was $13/week. Which is $52/ month. For alot of people thats enough to cover a utility bill. Because this effected 95% of Americans, the cost of this tax cut was in the billions.
At the time, the Reps said what you are saying now. They called the tax cuts useless. But when those tax cuts expired a few weeks ago, people took notice and were quite unhappy to see that money disappear again.
