I walked away almost 2 years ago and got into Hosted PBX/commercial VoIP as a tech ops manager and as much as I miss the biz, I don't miss the 2 - 3 pay cuts a year, and the new scope of work every 2 months adding on more work for less pay. With my new company I still get to travel now and then, but fly where ever I go all expenses paid, and stay in 1st class hotels on any project lasting more than a day. Pay checks are in the bank every 2 weeks w/o complications and my company is growing as their product actually does save companies $$$$ and in this economy most of our prospective customers are "how fast can you have it installed ?"
A reco with up to three outlets for $21 plus provision a box or three......... How many of those you doing a day ??? @ 2 hrs each plus travel thats like 10 hrs for $84 or $8.40 and hour minus expenses. You my friend are truly screwed.
