IMO, the picture is not that gloomy. Our debt is more irresponsible than anything else. I think sometimes we forget this country has tons of reseves of Gold, Silver, and even oil. We can pay our debts

China stands to lose alot if they cut ties with America, and the chances of them doing such a thing is slim to none. We should get our house in order not because of China. But simply because it's the best  thing to do.
