Demanding that companies obey the law was not a bad thing. But it was just half the battle. Now that worker classification has been resolved, installers have got to demand more pay, or walk. Its that simple. In some cases guys have been switched to W2, and are still not getting compensated for overtime hours.
Leave these companies. There are many companies who are willing to pay top dollar for CATV installers. These companies are constantly under-bid by the companies that currently have all the CATV work. Refuse to work, and the prices will go up. The law can only assist us in so many ways. Ultimately, installers will have to show they have a spine, and refuse to work for these bottom feeder companies.
