Re:DO NOT Heat Center Conductor !!!

DAMN GOOD POINT... I was always told to heat the shrink, but don't burn it i.e. the blue strip... With .500 cable especially with the heat involved to shrink the shrink I've got some real good "dripping" burns B4... I'm no engineer but how can this be any worse than heating the center conductor to clean it... I can touch the center conductor after I heat it, but I can't touch the shrink after heating it...???...
