You must be talking about FTS/Southwest Telecom/Advanced Communications. I had a contract with FTS and got a check from Advanced Communications and then from Southwest Telecom, but they were sister companies. If that is the case then the whole family owes me retainage. They lost their ass on that job because they paid hours and they should have been paying a "per call" price which they eventually did, but it didn't last long. Didn't get my retainage because I was told that I was paid too much meaning I should have been getting a "per call" price instead of the hourly price. The funny thing was I got paid all my invoices except my retainage so if I wasn't supposed to get hours (everybody was there on hours and that was what was agreed upon) then why were my invoices paid. My quality of work had absolutely nothing to do with not getting retainage. I have been working the cable industry for 20 years and have always been paid retainage except for Houston.
