Had JR for my father in law. We sent her with other family 2 weeks before my father in law passed at 97 years of age. When the dog came to live with him the dog destroyed the room. We got her a cage. That totally changed the dog. At night and everytime there is no one in the room the dog goes in the cage. Dog loves that cage.
We got 2 ouside dog runs making 4 pieces of fence making a total of 40 feet. Instead of making a box, we attached both ends to the house. My father in law just lets the dog out the back door. Made a very inexpensive fence.
Dog kept running out the gate when someone opened it. The last time I found her over at the neighbors, I picked him up and carried him home by the skin on the nap of the neck, like a mother dog carries her young. From then on I was top dog.
