OK here's the deal, whatever you signed as a 1099 contractor is null and void.
What they did in "converting" you is to hire you as an employee. You are a representative of that company. You need to get a clear and open explanation of your responsibilities.
If everything is the same as when you were a contractor - you pay for gas, tools, truck etc. except they deduct taxes - you are being ripped off. An employee should only provide the actual labor. A company is responsible for EVERYTHING else. That includes damage. You need to talk to the state and local labor board.
Just as a side note. You see a lot of guys saying "report them to the BBB". Don't waste your time! The Better Business Bureau is a private company -they have NO enforcement power! This is from their website
