It's not a issue of hooking up a phone line. It's when they expect you to run a new phone jack to every box. Free teleco work!!! If you call any of the phone companies wanting new service they hook it up outside the house and anything beyond that is extra 65.00 hr/drop to run a new one. Same should be for satellite and not force a tech to run a new phone jack for free. I'm not saying if there is a jack that will reach with 25' of line included that it shouldn't be hooked up, because it should, but anything beyond that we as techs should be compensated not penalized.
