Yes, some people feed them, which I don't agree with. They also feed the fox, which attracts the bears. 3 summers ago a momma with 2 fawns would walk
right up and want to be fed, while her fawns laid in the tall grass. They never came too close.
Many more of the wildlife have come down into town due to the Hayman Fire.
