I have wandered if all the medalling would lead to companies starting to charge employes for their portion of workers comp. As you may or may not know comp rates have a rating set to each company called an EMR. If you are questionable they might think they should charge a premium over their rate just in case?? Not sure if this is the case?? City, County, State, FICA, Fed taxes all have rates and probably everyone who reads this should have a rate of 25- 35% depending on what you make.. Just a thought on the comp. but all these lawsuits will only effect those down the line not corporation. They can refile and know they know what costs they need to plug into overhead.
PS. Watch what your tax rate does over the next 4 or so years if you think 40% sounds high?
