I remember when taking the NCTI installer course this was covered. It said that if you go to a customer's house and they were drunk, under the age of 18, or doing an illegal activity you should leave. I realize all company policies are different but I would not have stayed. What if the guy does go crazy and decides to throw a DHCT across the room? Or break the TV. Or a hundred other things. All the cust. has to do is blame it on the cable guy. One of his buddies is also puffing away? Great now the cust has a witness.
Is your supervisor going to wrote you up? Maybe, you do have the option of signing the write up and then submitting a rebuttal.
