It was either you or Sab3r that was saying Reid was "sneaking" things into the bill, and changing the bill, during the current reconciliation process. This BS has been echoed across the internet.
The FACT is, reconcilliation is SUPPOSED to change the bill. BUT the changes made during reconciliation would have to be voted on AGAIN before final passage. The GOP knows this. But they lead the rest of America to believe that the changes being made during the reconciliation would never be seen until it was signed into law. But the worse part of it all is that the Dems said nothing to confront this BS. Nothing at all. I never understood why.
Now, we have the thing with the so called union sweet heart deal. The lie is that the unions struck a deal for only union memebers. In reality, unions were made exempt temporarily (2018), while the threshold for values of plans to be taxed was raised, and therefore additional non-union workers were made exempt indefinitely. The GOP has non-union workers thinking they will paying more taxes, when in reality more non-union workers were the ones who were permantly exempt from the tax. Again, the Dems said nothing to set the record. They seem to think that people will catch the BS on their own. The Dems don't seem to realize that this BS actually works. Yes, it's kind of funny people actually fall for such obvious BS. But it's not funny that people actually go to the polls believing the BS.
During the 2008 campaign, Obama came out with the fightthesmears.com website. They need to employ something on the same lines.
