A bell wrench and not turning my back on the snarling potlicker until I get to my pole is how I avoid being bit. After doing my work and climbing down usually the ass biter has decided I am not a threat and we both choose to co-exist.. War comes in many forms. It's funny how that tactic/description of my technique to avoid violent confrontation relates to this topic..hmmmmm.....
