I can!  I worked out there in July: Gas is $3, or more, a gallon, hotels are $100 a night (roach motel in the heart of Oakland cost me $60) and studio apartments are $1,000 a month! What else do you want to know?!  If you want eat cheap, go to your local street taco vendor, TACOS 99 cents!
