It wasn't the cavemen, there were several lines about evolving or becoming extinct, the movie itself supports Darwinism. There is a subtext to a lot of kids movies that are overlooked by parents, the story that was obvious was about cooperation and caring between very different individuals (racial tolerance), which is a good thing, but it also plants the idea that evolution is the way of things. I don't have a problem with that in this case, but as I said the irony of this movie being shown in a religious setting was just to funny.
