There is a form called a "No Compete Clause", in which this simply eliminates this from happening. This assists you in keeping control of all personell and or sub-contractor help. Failure to obey and comply, terminates the contract and any unpaid invoices due to them being the sub-contractor. Otherwise everyone would be whoring around, jumping ship. Then again if you take care of your hired hands you should not have to worry about them, however look at it as an insurance policy. At this time you are better off dispersing payment and protecting your company name, for future work and or contracts offered to you...
