The link is a letter from CSPAN to Majority & Minority Leaders of both chambers of Congress requesting access to informal meetings. Pay close attention to pragraph 3 where CSPAN states how much of the healthcare debate they have televised, and have archived.

If you notice, the letter is not addressed to Obama. Obama can only request that Congress televise informal discussions. The people who have the power to make that decision are the 4 people CSPAN wrote the letter to.
Seperations of Power.... Checks & Balance......... Do these things ring a bell??
Anyone who took the time to watch the CSPAN coverage would know that having the informal meetings televised would be great. But them not being televised in no way keeps those who want to be informed, uninformed about the bill.
