The DOW was not doing great in Jul. 2008. The DOW was on its way down. It had just dropped about 3,000 points between Oct 07 and July 2008. How on earth can you call that doing great!!!!?!?!?! Yes it was higher, but it was on its way DOWN!!
Please share any other info you have about the housing market. Housing is another LAGGING indicator. When housing goes bad, the events that made it go bad already occured. Research the difference between LEADING economic indicators, and LAGGING economic indicator. Don't tell me you already know the difference. Because if you did, there's no way you would make half the statements you made, especially the one you just made about Bush having nothing to do with the housing crisis.
If housing is a LAGGING indicator, and housing went bad AFTER 6 or 7 years into your Presidency, your decisions caused the housing crisis. You made the policy, and the housing crisis was the result of your policys.
