drug addicts arent going away. the government is paying for their health problems.
its like methadone....its just as addicting as heroine. the benefit of "giving away" methadone over turning a blind eye to a heroine addict? people on methadone can work and exist in society. they can be parents. they can have lives. those who continue on heroine continue to contribute to the crime rate, ignore/neglect their children, overdose or often become ill while the american people pick up the bill.
that is reality. like it or not.
