these are good words to live by. lets say, they are great general rules. kinda like the 10 commandments are a pretty good compass to guide your life.
i completely agree that our welfare policies are out of control. maybe someone will actually do something that is practical to bring them back into line.
i dont consider the healthcare reform as welfare. the medicaid is already there and has nothing to do with the reform. medicare is usually paid into by the person who receives it eventually or is used by the disabled, etc (with plenty of fraud).
the people who work and cant afford insurance will get help. supposedly medicare "reform" will help pay for this. of course, the people who make 200,000 or 250,000 may end up paying 5% (if there isnt a loophole). and a small payroll tax (if i remember right).
oh, and the health gamblers will have to get insurance or pay a relatively small fine.
i just dont see this as welfare or enabling the freeloaders
