Its just garbage. Anythng can turn out f*cked up if there are idiots in charge.
Currentlly, the cost of healthcare increases 3 times the rate of inflation. We already have socialized medicine in this country. If you need care, you will get some. If you can't pay for it, either the government will pay for it, and/or those who do have insurance will pick up the cost via higher premeiums to cover the cost of unpaid services received by uninsured patients.
This is all rhetoric. Don't fall for the BS.
The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act is what gave everybody the right to receive healthcare. This bill specifically states that those hear illegally have these same rights as well. The same Prez who signed this bill into law, is the same Prez who gave blanket amnesty to all illegals. This Prez was no other than Ronald Reagan.
When Reagan signed this bills into law, not many feared the sky was falling. No one thought he was a socialist. If anything, the times in which this bill was passed are considered great times by Right wing Americans. These were considered times where America was considered thenear perfect example of freedom and capitalism. Since these times our country continues to be the best country in the world.
The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act gave everyone access to healthcare, but it didn't include an effcient way to pay for it, and therefore healthcare costs have exploded, and is very in-effecient. Our government already has the biggest healthcare tab, and we recieve the least amount of service from it. Continuing down the path is what will lead us to a parallel future of your article.
