After looking into this issue with both the TN Dept of Labor and the TN Dept of Insurance, satellite and cable installers ARE NOT considered part of the construction industry> The new law in Tennessee specifically requires that ONLY subcontractors in the CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY are required to obtain workers comp> This is all determined on job class codes determined by the NCCI (National Council on Compensation Insurance)> They told me, when I called, that satellite and cable installers are considered non-construction, miscellaneous> Hope this helps> Sorry, my period button is broke, so that is why i'm using the > sign>
