I'm sorry, were you not properly trained before being let lose in the field. I know that was a topic I covered whenever I trained people in the classroom first.
Motorola has a small pocket reference guide that I used to hand out that outlines loss per foot according to frequency in one section. Google "coax cable attenuation chart"
