I was generally aware of that text.
Here in MD there is even a percentage test.....forgot what....before a lien can be considered.below that level and it is thrown out of court.
The whole point of this is that subcontractors are allowed to distribute work from the Directv system and leave town without paying the installers. My experience has been that nothing happens until the user (s) and benefactor(s) are threatened with court appearances. Customers didn't order work...they were told it would be FREE. Directv didn't defraud the installer. Directv paid the contractor.
Who should fix this?
