We are using 1g harmonic nodes that you can put a specific chanlized reciever or transmitter can't remeber which one( think it is the reciever though). Reason being is the are segmenting node using the existing fiber that is there already. We also use WDMs which is a way to use a single fiber for both forward and return so they don't need to put more fiber in. They are using the different channled reciever so it specific to that node and is not interfering with the other nodes and is cutting down noise. If you are doing your system the way you are than you proubley have noise issues, exspecally with weather change.
