No, this was not "one for the good guys", this was the final death mandated by the bankruptcy trustees. Those who didn't deserve treated themselves, their families and their cronies to the company's largesse long ago, which was in large part the reason IFCI/GFC died.
It goes to show you: take a profitable, well-oiled and productive company (or companies), put idiots and their kin at the top, apply a business strategy that is questionable even for a giant like GE and you can bring it to its' knees in two years flat. I got squat: 2 weeks severance and a hearty handshake for 12 years' loyal service, which was more than others got. Merry Christmas to all those who got something lately, and FU to those who "got" in 2003 & 2004.
