You can buy them and put them on your engine. I built my motor up in the dakota and then bought a supercharger kit for my truck from a company called procharger; They are not the roots type blower like on drag cars; But a centrifigual blower. You can run mild amounts of boost, say 6 pounds on a stock motor. Start adding more boost and engine components need to be beefed up.
