Try the fold open mittens mentioned on here earlier. I use them for the really cold days. Menards had them for $5.00. If you'd Menards also has the IronClads for $5 to wear under te mittens to allow you to work with the fingers. As far as clothes...try a local military surplus store for cold weather clothes.
