Did you try reasoning with the owners before you called animal control? Regardless, that is one of those difficult situations that Christians face daily. What do you do about neighbors that have no respect for you? The first things that come to mind are pray for them. Give it to God to deal with through faithful prayer. Then pray for the strength not to do what our old natures would have us to do, like stomping them and their dog. Try ear plugs. That is what I have to use when I am trying to sleep during the day, after splicing all night and morning, and the kids just can't seem to be courteous enough to keep it down. In any case, I will pray that the issue is resolved without serious drama.
