Yea, I've been in the cable industry for twenty years (not the dish-f*ck the dish). I learned from the best in the industry. I was taught to do it right the first time. It saves money. I was taught to satisfy and take care of the customer the first time; It retains customers, makes you and the company look good; And it makes money and saves money. I'm SCTE-NCTI ceritified in all aspects of the cable industry, and I am one old school motherf*fucker. Hacks do not need to be tolerated and if someone isn't going to do it correctly, or isn't capable of doing it correctly they need to get the f*ck down the road and out of our industry. I've fired and ran off more stupid, lazy, dumb motherf#ckers then I can remember. It isn't that hard to do it right the first time. Anything but the correct way is the wrong way, and that makes that person either ignorant, lazy, or just plain stupid, and not capable of upholding the standards that the SCTE and MSO prescribe. I have never been giigged in my entire career. So if that makes me perfect, than I'm Mr. Perfectionist. Sounds like you just want to make excuses for the slackers, hacks and dumbasses in the trade. Geez, it doesn't take a freakin' expert to do a nice looking, correct install. Crap, a trained monkey could do it. It's simple. And don't start any sh*t with me, because some of the brothers on here that know me will tell you that you can't hold a freakin' candle to my fart. You want to show me what you know: I'll give you hooks, belt all the gear you need and put you in an Ap 45 and give you a stack of prints on some easy fiber runs. Show me what you can do and what you know. Other than that; If you ain't puttin' 2500 a week in your pocket and paying the other hands on the truck you ain't doin' sh*t.
