Joe, you too are correct, All Idea's of free things are crap, especially if it's you doing the freebies. Everyone, including myself hates to do things for free. Now, also keep in mind, that as a contractor, there are things that you used to have to aquire with your own money that you no longer need to buy, because they are supplied to you for free now.
But yes, you are all correct, it's just another free thing that's added to a growing list.
The only real way to counter any of this is to simply refuse to do the work, until things get better. But lets face it, unless a Union is formed (i hope not, i hate unions) or Jose Zalamen and his buddies Tsung Nguyun and Demetri stops taking your work at a lower pay rate after you got fired. Nothing is going to change. But it will all come to a head eventually, but it probably won't be for a long while.
