Nothing to look up.
If you have no insurance, you do not have to pay full rate.
If you go in for "A service" and your insurance says "No ..not covered. not paying" ... then the doctors office will then send YOU the bill. Walk it in and ask to pay the lower rate for Medicare/Medicade. They will honor it. They have to... BUT ... YOU have to ask for it. If you're paying cash or check, you do not have to pay the dollar amount that they were going to charge your insurance company.
I had emergency gall-bladder surgery while on vacation. No Insurance. They tried handing me a $22,000 hospital bill. I asked for the lower rate. My bill was now $9,600. It's not the insurance companys causing costs to go up. It's the doctors and hospitals. Greedy fucks.
