Life , too often is too fast paced to stop for anything let alone beautiful music.
Fame and fortune are all about "right time right place". I've seen that played out time and again.
Ever go and see a bar band with a guitar player or singer that would top anybody thats currently at the top of the charts? I know I have. But they finish playing for the night and go home and get up in the morning and go to work. Wrong time, wrong place.
From my own personal experience, I've worked with and around local/regional stock car drivers who can wheel a car like nobody you see in the top ranks of NASCAR but they will never amount to anything because of wrong time, wrong place, wrong look, wrong personality etc.
The man in the story you posted was in the wrong time, wrong place and not put on a lit up stage and didn't have a big croud around him who was told that he was great and should be admired so next to nobody paid any attention.
Sad fact of life I guess. Good story, makes ya think.
