Dude, a warning shot with that critter may not deter it. And once it's on the move towards you one shot is all you might get a chance to take so I wouldn't waste it. I used to hunt with only a rifle till they restocked the area that I hunt regularly with mountain lion and timber wolves. Now the P220 goes with me. Hell some times that's all I take cause I go full cammo anyway as it's 320 acres of private property and we get idjits trespassing on a regular basis, and I fugure what they can't see they can't shoot.
