Its a matter of balls, or the lack of anyway. The bosses are afraid of the ceo. The managers are afraid of the bosses and the techs are afraid of the managers. When I started in the biz we would do anything to get the job done but we put a price on it.
Today the idiot at mastec says jump and your boss asks how high do you want my "team" to jump. We as a group need to regrow our balls, Ladies excluded of course. Try telling them to go to hell when they tell you about the mandatory meeting at 6am. and the imaginary training that you burn three hours on for free. stop doing free work. And in turn you need to step up and do the hard jobs as well as the gravy ones. Give the customer what he is paying for and be an invaluable part of the company. This way at least you give them a reason to listen when you gripe.
