Because I have a Motel with a MDU single drop to each room and I was going to Insert it from my Apartment to the building that is why I need the MOD to place it on a channel above my extended Basic, I know the MOD i selected takes stereo and combines to mono, that is OK, the channel I want to insert is only a mono audio only, plus I might step up to the 3 channel mod and insert 2 cameras (boat parking lot & swimming pool) so the guest can see their boats in the boat lot and watch the kids at the pool, I own the MDU and know I may need to put a dc-8 on the input of the 2 8way taps in the mdu but was just hoping I could just insert it into my apartment drop, but if needed I can run a rg6 feed into the mdu from the MOD to the dc-8, I will get filters to block the inserted channels from feeding back into the MSO plant, as you can see I am trying to keep this low budget, again I only need the audio on 1 otuput don't need audio for the cameras
am I heading in the right direction ??
