Now I'm no expert, but it would seem to me that in that corner of the world ice loading would be a consideration, and that pretty red whozit would be yanked from the wall when ice formed between it and the wall. Not something I would want exposed during the coldest parts of the year, when I'd most likely use/want it the most. And, if it was to be as a last resort, I'd think a speckle-coat of brown to blend it would be better than a fireman's grab-bar lookin' thing. But, to each their own...
