OK I do satellite and am no expert on cable. The satellite hack obviously left quite a mess. But examining these pictures I'm left wondering. The final shot shows only two lines going into the house. Best I can tell there had been 2 diplexers and like 4 splitters with 2 lines coming from the dish and a number of other lines presumably going into the house. What happened to the rest of the lines, and wouldn't you leave them going into the box for future use? Looks like you didn't have time to unscrew a few connectors so you just went to work with a pair of snips. Not too difficult to make it neat when you have only 2 lines to deal with. That bend in the cable really is too tight as was said before. The box looks like the ones you can get from Perfect Vision.
It sounds like the cable business is much like the satellite business. What's considered up to specs varies depending on which company you work for and sometimes who you ask in the same company.
