As I'm sure you've read .. Using the PDA to close jobs is going to more than pay for a $6 or $10 dollar weekly fee. Time = Money. Time on hold on the phone waiting for a dispatcher makes you NO money.
BTW - most times, that fee is not for the PDA or data time, it's for the software maintenance and access to the system. I don't know any MSO that "owns" thier own web-based closing system. In Las Vegas they are using ETA-Direct software. Everytime a new tech gets added, they have to pay the software company a fee every month for each tech.
Sounds like that fee is rolling down hill.
Best to ask whoever you signed your contract with about it. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to break it down for you.
