well you got to look at the cost of it verses your time. We had horrible hold times. I would spend atleast 2 hours a day on the phone. So the PDA cut that time out and I was able to do an extra job a day. Average job in cable pays $70 to 80 bucks, so I was making more money per day with the PDA. Now when times were slow, having that extra charge was killer. I still think the MSO should eat the cost of the PDA service. After all they are saving money on dispatchers. Techs can do more jobs in a day, which reduces waiting on the customer. Sooner we get them going, sooner they can bill the customer, more money they make. But techs are at the bottom of the totem pole.
