Every state is different....however, if you are an employee...quite or eat it.
As a contractor.......attempt to get it fixed first verbally and then in writing.
Then, rather than quitting....contact the home owner and inform them you will be filing a court meeting to resolve the issue.
You won't get anymore work....but who the F cares?
