And the utilities are already suing the government because of this. They were taxed to create the facility and now there is none. They will get back every cent they paid in and probably some sort of compensation for now have to find a new disposal technique. AND we will be on the hook for the Yukka monuntain project. Best part is, we as rate payers paid the taxes in our bills, but the utilities will get the windfall courtesy of the Dem controlled government. Every time the government sticks its nose in to business matters it gets a black eye. But there are many who want the gov't to run everything even though they run nothing well.
