I've been in the satellite industry for eleven years. I started off as a green tech who did not know the difference between a diplexer and a ground block. In my first year of satellites I learned all of that, and I also sold and installed over 600 systems. I only installed what I sold. I have since become certified in Hughes Net, Wild Blue, SBCA level 3, and I am the lead commercial tech for one of the largest satellite dealers in the South. I can do everything from installing your granny's VCR to building out a 1,000 unit MDU property with an L-band or a head end and an internet overlay. I have never once been helped by a union along the way, and I sure as hell wouldn't consider joining one now.
