10-27-09

Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing;
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee; and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Genesis 12:1-3

Of course Abram's name was later changed to Abraham, and through his seed the nation of Israel was born, thus making the Jews and Israel, God's chosen people. Research the history of Israel and you will discover some amazing facts, and just how God keeps his promises to his people. Ever wondered why all the other nations named in not only the Bible, but historically, are no longer heard of? Why the Jews and Israel, as small in numbers they may be in proportion to the rest of the world, have lasted throughout time?
