The best way for you to receive wisdom and understanding of the scriptures is to ask God to reveal Himself to you. If you truly seek the Truth, the Truth will be revealed to you. Ask God to remove all distractions, bitterness, and self-reliance and to open the eyes of your heart. There is obviously some sort of interest, or you wouldn't continue wasting your time visiting this forum. Turn your heart to God, Dan, and find the Truth your looking for. Let me warn you, though, Satan is going to do everything in his power to keep that from happening. You'll need to pray, as I will, that you are not hindered in that way. If you are sincere and open to allowing God to do a work in your life, you will not be disappointed. I am no better than you in any way, shape, or form, as I am nothing but a sinner, just like you, I just choose to seek the Truth, and I grow each and every day, and have been blessed with salvation and a relationship with Jesus Christ not from anything I have done, but because of what He has done for me. All it took was for me to ask, and He showed me the way. That doesn't make me perfect, or sin free, it makes me saved by the blood. It led me out of the darkness and showed me the Light, and He will do the same for you. Just ask, Dan.
