What do you mean? It is far from being normal? The flu? Maybe it is a strain that is worse or maybe it is a strain that is as bad as the bird flu or any flu politicians and the news chooses to cover more. I hear of deaths and flu's all the time and sometimes they just aren't covered. I will try to find out what I can to see if this is truly worse or if it is just talked about more.
